I have been knitting and crocheting for the last 70's and always avoided acrylic yarn, as it wasn't soft enough for baby crocheting. Until I came across the Yatsal Hypo-Allergenic Baby Yarn. WHAT A FIND. It is so soft and crochets perfectly. I would highly recommend this product. In the past I have always used Patons Big Baby, but have been a little disappointed lately. Since my original purchase of 5 balls, just to see the quality, I have since purchased another 15 x 10 ball pkts. 1 x 100g ball on a 2.5 or 3 mm crochet hook, does 1 bolero matinee jacket.
