    DyeMore for Synthetics

With so many diverse synthetic fabric iterations on the market, we thought it was high time to offer a dye capable of taking those very fabrics to the next level. That’s why we’re proud to introduce Rit DyeMore, a dye specially made for synthetic fabrics like polyester, acrylic, acetate, plus blends that contain those fibers. And like our original formula, DyeMore is non-toxic and perfect for use in the home.

A dye made specifically for synthetic fabrics, which includes anything with 35% or more polyester, acrylic or acetate. Each little bottle packs a colourful punch and is ready to deliver a custom touch to garments new and old, household items, and more. It even works on 3D printed items, lacrosse sticks, wigs and most plastics. Plus, just like our original formula, Rit DyeMore is non-toxic and safe for sewer and septic systems.

*Important Note: Due to the complexity of dyeing synthetics, you must use Rit DyeMore with the stovetop method to maintain an almost boiling temperature for the duration of your dyeing. Accordingly: (1) you cannot use Rit DyeMore to dye anything that won’t fit into a pot on your stove and (2) you cannot use your washer because the machine won’t be able to achieve the water temperature needed for Rit DyeMore to penetrate the fabric.

    Insurance

All freight companies used by Craft2u are general carriers and therefore do not cover damage or loss of goods in transit. Craft2u offers a simple insurance option.

Insurance on the website is an Opt-Out option. In other words, it is automatically included. The only way it cannot be included is if you specifically untick the Insurance checkbox. This is your tacit agreement that you choose not to insure the goods.

If you do not accept the insurance charge, you will do so at your own risk and any damage and/or loss is your responsibility. In all cases, we HIGHLY recommend the optional protection of insurance.

    Perfect finish

I had to colour my outfit for my sons wedding to something not so... Fire Engine Red!!, so I mixed Racing Red with Graphite. Outcome was perfect. You need a huge metal cooking pot tho, as you basically have to cook the colour into the fabric. A jam making pot would work. Tested a piece cut off from the rehemming, first, then I did one piece at a time, top first, but it seemed that the first article of clothing sucked up most of the black, as the pants dyed lighter in colour. Same fabric, but could have been different dye batches at the manufacturer, for each piece. It took the dye almost immediately so I didn't have to cook it for thirty minutes as suggested. Still looked great. Went from fire engine red to more of a burgundy, a lot darker than the photo of it on my bed. Recommend this to anyone looking to dye synthetics. I have a few things I want to colour now so.....
